Dear Shelter Island Board,

I've been going to 5 Charlies lane on Shelter Island with my family for as long 
as I can remember.  Some of my best memories of my Grandparents are there. I am currently a junior at Bowdoin College in Maine. I have no wish to keep the new owner of the house next door from getting what he wants.  It's not OK if this means ruining or contaminating our water supply, making our street impassable or generally wreaking the quiet of the place. I hope to someday be able to have money like this guy but hope that I would be better educated about the effects I was having on the environment, and not so self centered to think that I should be able to have whatever I wanted and think that it didn't matter. With great wealth comes great responsibility--I don't know who said that but I thinks it's true.
